3. Applying for a license

(1) According to section 5 of the Act, a person or an organized organization who wants to get a license must submit an application to the Ministry in the following format along with the application form as per sub-rule (1) of rule 7.

(a) To broadcast programs by satellite or other means of communication, to distribute signals based on digital technology based broadcasting center (digital headend), to receive signals from digital broadcasting centers established by other individuals or organizations and to broadcast programs or in analog technology To establish a based broadcasting center and broadcast the program by means of cable -

Form as per Schedule 1(a),

(A1) A person licensed in accordance with clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of rule 4 or Organized organization to produce program by itself and broadcast television channel through its distribution system in the format as per Schedule-1(A1) >

(c) Based on the system of distributing programs directly to consumers through cable or satellite (direct to home) and in the format as per schedule-1(c) for broadcasting television.

(2) ) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), before the commencement of this rule, any person or organization which has obtained a license to broadcast a program through cable and distributes signals based on analog technology, the signal from the licensed person or organization under clause (a) of sub-rule (1) There is no need to obtain a separate license to receive and broadcast through cable. However, if a person or organized organization that has not obtained such a license receives and distributes signals from another licensed person or organized organization to establish a broadcast center based on digital technology, it shall obtain a license in accordance with this rule.
